Combing operations under NAP; Three TTP terrorist killed  

HYDERABAD: (APP) The District Police Hyderabad along with law enforcement agencies had killed three terrorists of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and arrested 98 suspects including 2 criminals during ten combing operations under National Action Plan (NAP) which was conducted in different parts of the district from April 30 to September 3, this year.

The spokesman of District Police Hyderabad informed here on Monday that the police arrested two terrorists involved in bomb blast on August 14, in the jurisdiction of Fort Police Station. The police also seized 11 hand crackers and over six kilograms gun powder from the possession of the arrested terrorists.

While taking action against extremism and terrorism, the spokesman informed that the police gunned down three TTP terrorists.

The spokesman informed that the police also apprehended 103 immigrants including Afghan nationals by registering 16 cases under relevant laws against them. A total of 65 cases of violation of Loudspeaker Act have been registered with arrest of 15 law breakers, he said and added 13 others have also been arrested in six cases of objectionable speeches. The police also registered 27 cases against objectionable wall chalking and removed 37 flags of different political and religious organizations.

The police also conducted operations for recovery of illegal weapons and arrested 741 outlaws with registration of 761 cases under relevant laws, the spokesman informed and added that nine more criminals were booked during general holdup in the district.

The Police along with Special Anti-Crime Squad also conducted targeted operations and gunned down 18 outlaws with arrest of 57 others in injured condition from January 1 to August 31, 2016, the spokesman informed and added that 87 proclaimed offenders, 1056 absconders and two terrorists were also arrested with seizure of sizeable quantity of arms and ammunitions.

During the period under report, the spokesman informed that 849 criminals including 314 dacoits, looters and robbers, 31 vehicles lifters, nine mobile phone snatchers, three extortionists and 433 thieves were also booked from different parts of the district with recovery of property worth Rs. 64,34,751. The police also recovered huge quantity of narcotics including heroin, hasheesh, opium, bhang and illicit liquor by conducting raids at narcotics dens he informed and added that 361 gamblers were also apprehended with slot amount.

The spokesman informed that the police also carried out massive operations against the sale of "Menpuri", "Gutka" and arrested 123 suppliers with registration of 99 cases during the period under report.
