*ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan said on Wednesday thattensions with India had eased due to the timely and right decisions of theincumbent government.*

Addressing a meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentary party,the prime minister mentioned that it was because of timely and correctdecisions that Pakistan-India war was averted. He also took the partymembers into confidence over Pakistan-India escalations.

PM Imran Khan also said that the timely and right decisions eased tensionsbetween both the countries but the war threat remained.

PM Khan termed that the decision to act against proscribed organisationswas not made under any pressure and was an internal matter of the country.

He added that a clear message had been sent to the international communitythat Pakistan would act in its self-interest.

He also explained that any decisions would be taken always for the interestfor the country. It was also reported that Foreign Minister Shah MehmoodQureshi was praised for his diplomacy during the meeting.

During the meeting, the PTI parliamentary party approved the FinanceAmendment Bill 2018-19. The meeting reviewed various matters relating tothe party.
