KP Minister held important meeting with US Consul General

Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Azam Khan, engaged in a meeting with the newly appointed US Consul General, Shante Moore, in Peshawar on September 4th. The discussions during this meeting revolved around shared interests and matters concerning collaboration between the provincial government and United States' development agencies across various sectors.
Muhammad Azam Khan underlined the significance of cooperation between the KP provincial government and the US government and its agencies in various sectors. He emphasized the commitment of the US government to strengthening ties with the province. The chief minister stressed the imperative of enhancing cooperation with friendly nations and donor agencies in the tribal areas, which have faced prolonged development challenges.
Furthermore, he highlighted the critical need to focus on constructing essential infrastructure, particularly road development, in these regions that have been affected by years of conflict. Enhancing the police infrastructure in the merged districts was also identified as crucial to ensuring peace and security.
The promotion of girls' education was outlined as a top priority for the provincial government by the chief minister. He expressed a warm welcome to American cooperation in these priority areas, offering any necessary assistance.
Shante Moore, the US Consul General, reassured the commitment of the US government to continue working closely with the provincial government and the public to advance public welfare. Additionally, he mentioned the US government's interest in preserving the province's ancient historical buildings and cultural heritage.
