KABUL – Afghan government has demanded the extradition of the perpetratorinvolved in the murder of an Afghan diplomat in Karachi city of Pakistan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said Foreign Minister SalahuddinRabbani made the demand during a meeting with the Pakistani AmbassadorZahid Nasrullah Khan in Kabul on Wednesday.
The Afghan diplomat was shot dead by one of the security guards of theAfghan Consulate in Karachi city of Pakistan earlier in February last year.
According to MoFA, the two sides also discussed other issues of bilateralinterest including economic, political, regional cooperation, security, andexchange of prisoners.
In his turn, Ambassador Khan shared the condolences of the government ofPakistan regarding the recent deadly attacks in Kabul.
The Pakistani Ambassador also called on Taliban group to participate inAfghan-led peace process and peace talks in a bid to end the violence.a
