*ISLAMABAD - Babar Azam *who has been in an outstanding form lately, could become the fastest batsman to reach the 1,000 runs milestone, overthrowing the modern batting great Virat Kohli who achieved this feat in 27 innings.

Azam, who just days ago became the top ranked T20I batsman has previously shattered records becoming the first batsman to score five consecutive ODI centuries at UAE, back in 2016.
The middle order batsman is also the fastest to reach seven ODI centuries, with 33 innings, breaking the record of Proteas great Hashim Amla with seven tons in 41 ODI innings.
