Pakistan approaches yet another top international forum against India over Occupied Kashmir conflict

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan approaches yet another top international forum againstIndia over Occupied Kashmir conflict.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi approached PresidentInternational Crisis Group (ICG) in New York today.

Pakistan FM Qureshi expressed his deep concern over the grave situation inthe Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) since Modi-led government revoked itsspecial status on August 5, Express Tribune has reported.

According to a statement by the Foreign Office, Qureshi expressed hisconcern at the prevailing humanitarian situation in IOK and “underscoredthe need for the international community to step-in to fulfill its moraland political responsibility towards the Kashmiris.”

New Delhi has imposed severe restrictions including curfew andcommunication blockade to head off the protests in the Muslim-majorityregion.

He added that non-resolution of the Kashmir dispute posed serious threat topeace and security of South Asia.
