ISLAMABAD – Under the umbrella of China Pakistan Economic Corridor, Megaenergy project is being launched in Gwadar.
The Federal Government has given the green signal to start a 300-megawatt(MW) power project in Gwadar under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC).
The work on the project will start in October this year with an estimatedcost of $540 million, after delays due to conflicts over tariff rates.
The government has also decided to form a special appellate tribunal tosettle the tariff issue, Express reportedlink.
The announcement was made after Cabinet Committee for CPEC’s meetingearlier this week.
