ISLAMABAD – Federal government takes unprecedented decision over the powersof the Airports Managers across the country.
The federal government has increased the administrative power of allairports managers across the country. They have been given an additionalcharge of functional heads of the airports.
A notification was issued in this regard on Wednesday. Under thisnotification, the manager will oversee all the agencies working at theairports.
According to sources, the decision was in line with the government’sintention to outsource some of the national airports. The move aims tobring all independent agencies such as Airport Security Staff (ASF),Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) underone umbrella.

Moreover, all airline heads will be answerable to airport managers.
“The decision is aimed at bringing uniformity in airport operations andproviding maximum facilities to the passengers,” one of the Civil AviationAuthority (CAA) said while commenting on the development.
