It has been four months since the Indian government revoked Article 370from its constitution and stripped off the special status granted to IoK.On October 31, the Indian government officially split the valley into twonew federally-administered territories.
Now, IoK is one territory and Ladakh, which borders China is aseparate territory and both will now be ruled directly from Delhi. Afterthe state was bifurcated into two Union Territories, the president’s ruleimposed in IoK has also been revoked.
The Kashmiris however, remain under siege with more than 40,000 detained inthe valley as well as in India. Internet services as well as pre-paidservices are still suspended in the region.
