Indian government admits PAF airstrikes unnerved Indian Military defences: Report

NEW DELHI – Indian government admits PAF airstrikes shattered IndianMilitary defences and big mistake was made by Indian Air Defence after warlike scenario created by Pakistan Air Force.

Indian government on Wednesday termed as a big mistake and “mistakenfratricide” the shooting down of its own helicopter by the Indian Air Forcein Kashmir on February 27 when India and Pakistani forces were engaged in adogfight, PTI has reported.

Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik said the aircraft was shot downduring a war-like situation developed due to the action by Pakistani AirForce.

“It was a case of mistaken fratricide, during the war-like situation,developed due to the hostile action of Pakistan Air Force at the LoC nearSrinagar,” Mr Naik said in the Lok Sabha while replying to a question.

“The inquiry has been concluded and concerned individuals have been heldblameworthy,” he said.
