KABUL – Afghan Taliban in full command of the Afghanistan endgame peacetalks with US and Afghanistan government.
Taliban’s spokesman Suhain Shaheen told Arab News in a phone conversationon Tuesday that Taliban representatives are holding talks with USnegotiators in Qatar to create a “safe atmosphere” for the signing of apeace agreement.

Shaheed, according to Arab News, said that a comprehensive and completecease-fire would be declared after the peace agreement is signed with theUS, ” We will also provide a safe passage to the US and other foreignforces following the deal,” he said.
The reconvened peace talks between the US and the Taliban are progressing,according to a Taliban spokesperson, while the Afghan government stillinsists on a ceasefire.
The Taliban’s political office in Doha has said that senior officials fromthe group met with US Special Representative for Afghanistan ReconciliationZalmay Khalilzad on Monday, and that the talks will continue today as well.
“Last evening, Mullah Baradar Akhund, Sher Mohammad Abbas and Amir KhanMutaqi met with Dr. Zalmay Khalilzad and Gen. Scott Miller in Doha and theyhad detailed discussions on next steps. Both teams are expected to have ajoint meeting today,” tweeted Shaheen, tweeted.
