ISLAMABAD: Türkiye has agreed to deliver two cutting-edge Next GenerationMobile Mission Control Centres (NG-MMCCs) to Pakistan under a bilateraldefence cooperation framework, sources confirmed.
The sophisticated platforms, developed by Turkish defence giant ASELSAN,are designed for real-time command, control, communications, andintelligence operations in contested environments. Each unit is housed inhardened tactical vehicles equipped with satellite linkage, electronicwarfare suites, and drone integration capabilities.
Defence analysts describe the NG-MMCC as a significant upgrade overexisting Pakistani systems, offering enhanced mobility and survivabilityduring large-scale joint exercises or border security operations. Thetransfer marks the latest chapter in growing Türkiye-Pakistan strategicalignment.
Turkish officials reportedly finalised the agreement during recenthigh-level talks in Ankara, with delivery expected within eighteen months.The package includes training programmes for Pakistani personnel andlong-term maintenance support.
Pakistan’s military leadership views the acquisition as vital formodernising its command infrastructure amid evolving regional threats. Thedeal follows previous transfers of Turkish drones, corvettes, andhelicopter modernisation kits.
Both nations have consistently described their relationship as “brotherly”and based on mutual trust. The agreement reinforces defence industrycollaboration that has intensified since the 2020 memorandum on jointproduction and technology sharing.
