ISLAMABAD: (APP) PM Nawaz Sharif to inaugurate DI Khan-Halka Motoway
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will perform the ground breaking of a motorway to link Dera Ismail Khan with Hakla on Tuesday (May 17) as part of the Western alignment of China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
According to a PM House statement, the ground breaking ceremony would be held at Yarik area near D.I Khan.
Chairman National Highway Authority (NHA) Shahid Ashraf Tarar would brief the Prime Minister on technical aspects of the project.
Total stretch of the motorway would be 285 kilometers that would be completed within two years.
As per PC-1, the civil works of the project would cost Rs. 129.782 billion. M/s Nespak is the design consultant of the project.
The motorway project comprises several bridges and interchanges.
Passing through less developed parts of the country, the motorway is expected to bring enormous economic benefits by creating new business and employment opportunities.
