Pakistan Vs Australia 5th ODI Match Scorecard

Australia has beaten Pakistan in 5th and last One-Day International (ODI) by 57 runs on Thursday.

The green shirts have lost the series 4-1 to the Aussies.

Chasing Australia’s 369, Azhar Ali got out in third over after scoring just six runs.

Sharjeel Khan and Babar Azam kept the innings composed and constructed a wonderful partnership of 130 runs. Sharjeel was dismissed on 79 in 25th over by Mitchell Starc who took the wicket of Azhar Ali as well.

Mohammad Hafeez replaced Sharjeel Khan at the crease and went back without troubling the scorers much. He could register only three runs and became the third victim of Mitchell Starc.

Shoaib Malik then joined Babar Azam but remained unlucky as he was hit on the forearm off the bowling of Cummins and was retired hurt on 10 runs.

Babar Azam got out as soon as he completed his century followed by Mohammad Rizwan (6).

Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and chose to bat in the fifth and final one-day international against Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday.

David Warner’s stormy batting fired Australia to a new record in the fifth ODI against Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday.

Warner and Travis Head set a new record for Australia’s highest ODI partnership (284), before Warner fell to Junaid Khan for 179.

The opener smashed the fastest century of his career off 78 balls, as Pakistan bowlers appeared helpless in the face of Australian batting.

Head scored his own century after captain Steven Smith earlier won the toss for the fifth time in the series and elected to bat first.

For the last ODI both sides made one change in their respective playing 11.

All-rounder James Faulkner is in for opening batsman Usman Khawaja, whereas Imad Wasim due to a finger injury has been rested and replaced by fast bowler Wahab Riaz.

Australia have already won the series.
