KABUL – Police shot and wounded a truck driver, in an explosive laden vehicle, on Saturday night after he failed to stop at a check post.
A suicide truck bomber was arrested by police on Saturday night in Kabul city along with a truck loaded with explosives, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement early Sunday.
The man was arrested in Khusal Khan in PD5 of Kabul city. According to the MoI “the attacker ignored police when told to stop the vehicle at a police check post and police shot at him, and wounded him.”
The truck was carrying heavy explosives and two rockets which had been packed under tomatoes.
No further details were provided.
