Yemeni Army claims ballistic missile hit at Saudi Military camp

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen’s army fired a ballistic missile at the positionsof Saudi-backed militia in the Arab country’s Ma’rib province, militarysources said.link>link>link>link>Accordingto the sources, the “Qaher M2” homegrown ballistic missile hit a militarycamp, inflicting major losses on them, Arabic-language al-Mayadeentelevision network reported.

The attack was carried out in retaliation for the Saudi-led coalition’srelentless airstrikes on Yemeni civilians.

The Yemeni army and Popular Committees have also launched missile attacksagainst targets inside Saudi Arabia.

Last week, spokesman of the coalition forces Col. Turki Bin Saleh Al-Malkisaid 83 ballistic missiles had been fired toward Saudi Arabia by then.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalitionfor almost three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives inYemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have beencarrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in anattempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abdrabbuh MansourHadi, an ally of Riyadh.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have losttheir lives in the deadly military campaign.
