ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Security Forces have achieved a major success as topterrorist commander belonging to the breakaway but most deadly faction ofthe TTP, the Jamaat ul Ahraar has surrendered to the security forces.
JuA was considered as the most deadly terrorist organisation which partedways with its mother body TTP over differences with the new commander.
Spokesperson of TTP’s breakaway faction, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA), AsadMansoor, surrendered himself to Pakistan’s security forces, officialsconfirmed to The Express Tribune.
According to the officials, Mansoor had handed himself to Law EnforcementAgencies (LEA) in Dera Ismail Khan, three weeks ago.
The details of his surrender still remained murky but officials said thatit was “the result of much hard work”.
Last year in April, key commander of JuA Ehsanullah Ehsan also turnedhimself in to security forces. Earlier the same month, ISPR had announcedthe surrender of eight JuA militants.
In a subsequent video confession Ehsan publicly admitted that Afghanistan’sNational Directorate of Security (NDS) and India’s Research and AnalysisWing (RAW) are funding and helping the TTP and its affiliates carry outterrorist attacks in Pakistan.
