KARACHI – A Chinese national suspected of ATM skimming was arrested inKarachi’s Bahadurabad area on Sunday.
According to a statement issued by the senior superintendent police East,law enforcers received a call early this morning about a Chinese suspectskimming ATMs at multiple private banks in Tipu Sultan Road’s Shabbirabadarea.
Police responded to the call within 10 minutes and arrested one who wasidentified as Xu Zhuping. It also recovered Rs650,000, Chinese currency,ATM skimming devices, ID card, passport and cellphone from his possession.
The police stated that three suspects managed to flee the scene, however,the CCTV footage of the area is being obtained to investigate the matter.
The latest arrest comes days after two Chinese men were arrested forallegedly planting a skimming device at a bank in Zainab Market.
