ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal says roadmap to formulateNational Internal Security Policy is centered on goals defined in vision2025 envisaging sharing peace, stability and development.

Chairing a high level meeting on formulation of National Internal SecurityPolicy 2018-2023 in Islamabad today (Friday), he said present governmenthas steered the country towards progress by enabling peace and stability.

Ahsan Iqbal said political stability plays vital role for development whichrequires avoiding conflicts in all forms and manifestations.

He said China Pakistan Economic Corridor has changed Geo-Politicalequilibrium in region due to which new Geo-Political pressures aredeveloping on Pakistan.

The participants of this meeting approved detailed roadmap for policyformulation process and a national conference on internal security.
