WASHINGTON – The United Nations has described as “shocking,” “shameful” and”racist” the comments by U.S. President Donald Trump on immigrants fromcountries like Haiti and Africa.

The reaction was given by spokesperson of the United Nations HighCommissioner for Human Rights, Rupert Colville in Geneva today (Friday).

He said the UN rights office is very concerned about the decision toterminate the U.S.’s Temporally Status Program for people from El Salvador,Haiti and Nicaragua.

Trump was quoted in a UN briefing Thursday as asking that why the UnitedStates would accept more immigrants from Haiti and “shithole countries” inAfrica rather than places like Norway.
