QUETTA: The ongoing crisis in the Balochistan assembly seems to deepenfollowing the no confidence movement against Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehriwhich is most likely to be approved in the Balochistan Assembly keeping inmind the number games.
Keeping in mind the number game, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi hasadvised Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri to resign in light oftheno-confidence motion to be taken up in the provincial assembly today,sources informed Geo News.
Reacting to the news, Jan Achakzai, the spokesperson of the chief minister,rejected the reports and said Zehri will not resign and face head-on theno-confidence motion.
Sources told Geo News the premier took the decision to control thepolitical situation of the province after realising the on-ground situationfollowing his trip to Quetta.
Sources added that the prime minister has also taken notice of the role ofprovincial party lawmakers in the episode.
A no-confidence motion submitted against Zehri last week gained momentumand was said to have the support of majority lawmakers of the assembly,leading to fears of the chief minister’s removal from office.
