SRINAGAR – In Occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed insouth Kashmir’s Pulwama and Shopian districts today, to mourn the death ofa youth injured by Indian troops, who succumbed to his injuries at ahospital in Srinagar on Wednesday.
The youth, Rayees Ahmed Ganai, a resident of Narpora, Shopian, was injuredin firing by Indian troops on protesters in Ganowpora area of Shopian onSaturday.
All shops and business establishments are closed in Shopian and Pulwamadistricts while traffic is thin.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Hurriyet Forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has deploredthe suppression of Kashmiris’ freedom movement by India through militarymight.
In a statement in Srinagar, he said under various black laws, Indian troopshave been given absolute powers to kill the Kashmiris at will without anyfear of prosecution or accountability.
