link>KABUL- The Taliban group in Afghanistan rejects the involvement of theinsurgents of the group as siege continues on a non-government organizationin Jalalabad city, Khaama News has reported.
Provincial governor’s spokesman Ataullah Khogyani confirmed that the deathof two people including a security personal and a civilian while twelveothers have been wounded.
The group’s spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid issued a statement claiming that“The ongoing attack in Jalalabad has nothing to do with the Mujahidin ofIslamic Emirate.”
A group of armed insurgents launched a coordinated attack in the city byinitially detonating explosives near the office of an NGO.
According to the local officials, the siege of the NGO still continuesdespite two of the attackers have shot dead but the remaining insurgentscontinue to resist from inside the office of the NGO.
The provincial public health officials are saying that around twelve peoplewounded in the attack has so far been shifted to the hospitals for thetreatment.
