He added that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and even Qatarprovided financial and arms support for the terror group and Turkey andJordan provided training for terrorists.

However, the commander said, the Daesh collapsed and the US faced failurein its plots to undermine the anti-Israeli Axis of Resistance.

He further emphasized that the US is seeking to fan the flames of conflictsin the West Asia region to serve its political, economic and militaryinterests.

Major General Rahim Safavi said Iran plans to stand against the US-ledcoalition and terrorist groups in the region through forming a coalitionwith Pakistan and Iraq.

The self-proclaimed caliphate of Daesh collapsed in Syria and Iraq afterSyrian forces and their allies managed to recapture Al-Bukamal, the terrorgroup’s last stronghold.

In recent years, the Middle East region has been plagued with Takfiriterrorist groups like Daesh, which are believed to have been created andsupported by the West and some regional Arab countries.

The terrorist groups, which claim to be Islamic but whose actions areanything but, have been committing heinous crimes not only againstnon-Muslims but mostly against Muslims in the region.

Iraq and Syria are among the countries gripped by terrorism.

Iran, a close ally of the two countries, has supported their legitimategovernments in their campaign against foreign-backed militancy andterrorism.
