SRINAGAR – In Occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested the Chairman ofJammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik during ananti-India demonstration in Srinagar on Friday.
Muhammad Yasin Malik was leading a protest against the recent remarks ofIndian Army Chief, General Bipin Rawat in Maisuma area of Srinagar when thepolice took him into custody and lodged him at Srinagar Central Jail.
General Rawat had on Wednesday stated that the people of Kashmir cannot getfreedom from India due to its military power.
Meanwhile, the puppet authorities again put under house arrest the Chairmanof Hurriyet forum Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in Srinagar on Friday.
Earlier, in his address to the Juma congregation in Srinagar, Mirwaiz UmarFarooq said that Indian brutalities, threats, arrests and other repressivemeasures could not intimidate the Kashmiris into submission.
