ISLAMABAD: The people of Kashmir held a demonstration on the incompetenceof law enforcement authorities after the brutal rape and murder of an8-year-old little girl in Kathua district of Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK),according to the Kashmir Media Service.
Asifa Bano, who had gone missing a week ago, was found dead undermysterious circumstances in the Hiranagar tehsil of Hindu-dominated Kathuadistrict, initial reports suggest.
The family and the relatives of the girl staged a protest in the locality,demanding swift investigation into the case and the arrest of the culprit.
“A minor girl, missing for the past one week was found dead in Rasanavillage of Hiranagar tehsil of the district,” a police official told themedia.
“We have shifted the body to District Hospital Kathua for the postmortem,”he added.
KSM said that there were serious injury marks on the face of the girl.
Meanwhile, the opposition staged a walkout from the puppet Kashmir Assemblyas well to protest the murder.
As soon as proceedings of the House began, legislators stood up to protestagainst the murder of Asifa Bano.
The opposition lawmakers say that police did not make any effort to tracethe girl after she was abducted.
