ISLAABAD – Interior Ministry has responded back to the letter of theNational Accountability Bureau letter putting the Sharif family on the ExitControl List.

* The interior ministry said that substantial reasons should be providedfor adding the names of former PM Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawazand son-in-law Captain Safdar on the Exit Control List (ECL).*

Refusing to place the names on the ECL, the interior ministry asked whythey should be put on the list.

On Wednesday, NAB had asked the interior ministry to place the names on theECL. According to reports, the request was made via letters written to theinterior ministry.

The Sharif family is currently facing three corruption references under theSupreme Court orders in the Panama Papers case.
