KABUL- A second deadly motorcycle bomb was detonated in Herat province inAfghanistan just an hour after another was detonated in Jalalabad inNangarhar province.
The Herat explosion happened just after 2pm on Monday in Shindand districtkilling at least one person and wounding seven others.
According to Farhad Jelani, the provincial governor’s spokesman, the latestexplosion happened at a busy market in Shindand district center.
Just one hour earlier, another motorcycle bombing took place – in Jalalabadcity in Nangarhar.
This explosion happened shortly after 1pm on Monday, killing at least threepeople.
Nangarhar governor’s spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani said three people hadbeen killed and eight people wounded in this blast.
Khogyani told TOLOnews.com the incident took place in PD3 Jalalabad city.
“Three were killed and eight others were wounded,” Khogyani said.
All the victims were civilians, he said adding that contrary to earlyreports, the explosion had not been close to the stadium where GulbuddinHekmatyar had addressed a gathering.
He said the blast site was a distance away from the stadium.
