KABUL- Eight Afghan security forces were killed over the last night whenthe Taliban attacked their outpost in areas belonging to the provincialcapital city, said Dadullah Qaneh, a member of provincial council.
He further indicated that four policemen and four soldiers of AfhanNational Directorate of Security or NDS forces were killed the attack.
Meanwhile, Ariana News have found footage records showing that Afghanforces in Shamalgah outpost of Farah province surrender to the Talibanafter running out of munitions.
The outpost located in the vicinity of Farah’s capital city collapsed intothe hands of Taliban two days ago.
Nearly 50 Afghan forces have lost their lives in such brutal attacks of themilitants just over the course of last five days in the western province.
Local authorities said that Taliban couldn’t maintain control over thecollapsed outposts and have fled the area after collecting weapons andmunitions of Afghan forces.
Abdul Basir Salangi, governor of Farah province confirmed the death of 36Afghan forces in recent battles with the Taliban but claimed that over 100militants were killed in Afghan counter-attacks.
He further reiterated that the central government is aware of the situationand the Taliban will be targeted soon in a wide operation across theprovince.
