SRINAGAR- In Occupied Kashmir, huge protests were held in Srinagar,Bandipora, Kupwara and other parts of the territory today, to condemn thekilling of 19 youth by the Indian troops.
The students of Central University of Kashmir, Kashmir University anddifferent colleges held protests in many parts of the territory and raisedpro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
The agitating students offered funeral prayers in absentia for the martyredyouth. They carried banners reading slogans like, ‘Stop Genocide’, ‘FreeKashmir’ and ‘Stop killings’ in Kashmir.
The traffic was halted for many hours due to the protests. The troopsresorted to brute force and fired teargas shells against the students.
The puppet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti met with forceful anti-Indiaprotests during her visit to the family of a martyr, in Kangan area ofGanderbal district, today.
People including men and women took to streets and protested against herarrival. They raised pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.
The Human Rights Commission of occupied Kashmir in response to a petitionfiled by human rights activist, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo ordered SeniorSuperintendent of Police, Shopian, to submit a detailed report about thecivilian killings and the act of making a youth as human shield by thetroops in the town on Sunday.
Meanwhile, a Crime Branch official of Kashmir police has confirmed that aneight year old girl Aasifa from Kathua district was held captive inside aHindu temple before being drugged and murdered.
The official said the crime was committed to drive out Muslim Bakerwalfamilies from Rasana and adjoining villages of the district.
