Why has such a condition come that the Afghan government and a numberof people provide the situation for India to interfere in Pakistan,” Headof Afghan National solidarity movement Syed Ishaq Gailani said inIslamabad.

Officials from Afghanistan’s Attorney General’s Office (AGO) on Monday saidthat they have summoned the head of the National Solidarity Movement ofAfghanistan, Sayed Ishaq Gailani, over his controversial remarks which manyin the country believe were not in the interests of national security.

Gailani must appear before the special court on crimes against the nationaland external security, said AGO spokesman Jamshid Rasuli.

Rasuli went on to say that despite the AGO summoning Gailani to appearbefore the AGO two days ago, Gailani has so far not appeared.

Two weeks ago, Gailani said during a speech in Pakistan’s capital Islamabadthat the Afghan government paved the way for India to use Afghan soilagainst Pakistan.

Gailani’s remarks sparked a major backlash and many called for legal actionto be taken against him.

The Afghan government on Thursday raised concerns about remarks made byGailani, and said his statements had not been in the interests ofAfghanistan.
