ISLAMABAD- Federal Cabinet has condemned the Indian atrocities in occupiedKashmir in strongest terms.
Briefing on the meeting of cabinet at a press conference in Islamabad onMonday, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif said India has set the worst exampleof state terrorism in Occupied Kashmir.
The emergency meeting of the Cabinet was convened on the killing of dozensof Kashmiris by Indian security forces.
He said the Cabinet has decided that 6th of April will be observed asKashmir Solidary Day. The Prime Minister will address AJK LegislativeAssembly to raise the enormity of the situation.
The Foreign Minister said Cabinet has also decided to send delegations tovarious countries to highlight the plight of Kashmiris.
He said he talked on telephone with counterparts from Turkey and Iran todayregarding the serious situation and they were requested to play their rolein forcing India to stop human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir. Hesaid Secretary General of OIC and Saudi officials will also be contacted toimpress upon India to stop its brutalities in occupied Kashmir.
He said Pakistan is also making efforts to convene a meeting of the OIC onthis issue. He said Pakistan will also raise this issue at the forums ofHuman Rights Watch, Amnesty International and Human Rights Council.
Khawaja Asif said over 2000 ceasefire violations have taken place alongLine of Control and Working Boundary during the past year, which is athreat for regional peace and could have negative implications leading towar.
Foreign Minister reiterated that Pakistan will continue its moral,diplomatic and political support to Kashmiris.
