KABUL – Afghan Military has claimed killing top Chinese militant commanderin Afghanistan.

A top leader of a militant group hailing from China was killed during theoperations of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces inNortheastern Badakhshan province, Khaama Press has reported.

The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North said at leastseven militants including two Chinese nationals were killed during theoperations.

The officials further added that one of the Chinese nationals killed duringthe operations has been identified as Mustafa who was the deputy leader ofa Chinese militant group.

A spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Corps Mohammad Hanif Rezayi confirmedthat the militants were killed in Jurm district.
