PESHAWAR – The local tribal elders from Khost province of Afghanistan andPakistan’s Kurram Agency met on Sunday to hold talks to defuse tensionsafter a deadly clash left at least five Pakistani soldiers and two Afghansdead.
According to reports, the meeting was organized in Kurram Agency ofPakistan and it was decided that the ceasefire should be extended.
The Pakistani officials are saying that the elders also agreed to form adelegation to visit the area and resolve and disputes relating to theDurand Line.
Pakistan claims that the incident took place after the Pakistani soldierscame under fire from the Afghan side of the line.
