ISLAMABAD – Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, who ison an official visit to China, visited Shanghai Naval Base and called onCommander Shanghai Naval Base, Rear Admiral Wang Jianxun.

Upon arrival, Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi was received by CommanderShanghai Naval Base, Rear Admiral Wang Jianxun. A smartly turned outcontingent of PLA(N) clad in ceremonial dress presented him the guard ofhonour followed by call on with Commander Shanghai Naval Base.

Later, the Naval Chief visited PLA(N) Ship YANG ZAHOU.

The CNS was briefed onboard by the commanding officer of the ship.

During his visit onboard, the Naval Chief interacted with ship’s crew andappreciated their professional competence. The CNS also visited Chineseaviation assets.

The visit would greatly augment the bilateral cooperation between both thecountries in general and Navies in particular.
