LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Fridayinaugurated Pakistan’s largest surgical tower at Mayo hospital in Lahore.
At the opening ceremony of the six-storey tower, the Punjab chief ministersaid it will have the 16 state-of-the-art operation theatres to facilitatethe patients.
Taking on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, Shehbaz said thatpolitical rivals only speak of hospitals but no new hospitals wereestablished in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The surgical tower will have the facility to conduct tests such as digitalangiography, CT Scan, MRI, laparoscopic system, ultra sound, andmammography.
Patients, who lost limbs, will be provided treatment, besides extendingfacility of reconstructive and vascular surgery.
Hydrotherapy, shower room, Intensive Care Unit and treatment room will beincluded in the burnt unit.
For major burn patients, radiological and diagnostic treatment facilitywill be present.
