RAWALPINDI – DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has said that they want peace inthe country.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that a majority of youthis happy with the merger of the FATA.
He said that terrorists have been eliminated through the Zarb-e-Azb. “I hada meeting with Manzoor Pashtin and Mohsin Dawar at my office,” he said.
The DG ISPR said that people’s love for the Army had increased, notreduced, during 10 years.
“We will do whatever will be in the interest of the country. Under theRadul Fasaad, the Rangers are continuing the operation. The Rangers did agood job,” he maintained.
To a question, Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said that an inquiry had been launchedagainst Asad Durrani.
“Asad Durrani did not get the NOC with regard to the book. The elementswhatsoever will be exposed in the Asad Durrani case,” he said.
He said that thanks God there has been peace in Karachi for a long period.
