RAWAPINDI – The Security forces on Thursday arrested five terrorists in anintelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Sibi.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the securityforces conducted a operation in Sibi and arrested five terrorist. Duringthe operation, Weapons, ammunition and communication equipment wererecovered from the arrested suspects.

Earlier, two soldiers were martyred and six terrorist were killed in anRadul Fasaad operation in South Waziristan.

In his statement, the ISPR said that the security forces conducted asuccessful an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in village Spina Mela nearLadha, South Waziristan. It added that The IBO was launched on reports ofpresence of few terrorists who had entered the area morphed into returningTDPs.

The ISPR also said that after exchange of heavy fire 6 terrorists includingHigh Value Target terrorist Nanakar involved in killing of local populationand Maliks killed.

The ISPR further said that during exchange of fire Havaldar Razzaq Khan andHavaldar Mumtaz Hussain martyred. The statement added that the weapons andammunition were recovered during the operation, along with communicationsets through which terrorists were in communication with their handlersacross the border in Afghan province of Paktia.
