LONDON – Hussain Nawaz, son of former prime minister and Pakistan MuslimLeague-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that the NationalAccountability Bureau’s (NAB) step for their arrest has no legal standing.
Reacting to the NAB’s approval bring him, his brother Hassan Nawaz andformer finance minister Ishaq Dar to Pakistan through Interpol, he saidthat anti-graft watchdog should do whatever it want through Interpol as theBureau’s actions have no legal standing.
The ex-PM’s son said that no illegal actions are possible in Britain.
Hussain Nawaz went on to say that the properties mentioned in report of theBritish newspaper were no more owned by Sharif family.He said that his brother, Hasan Nawaz, did business involving thoseproperties, however, he also does not own them now.
Earlier, the anti-graft body had taken a decision to arrest the sons offormer prime minister Nawaz Sharif-Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Nawaz, and formerfinance minister Ishaq Dar vial Interpol.
While Sharif and his sons have been accused in three references, hisdaughter, and son in law are accused in the Avenfield case.
