JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed responds to the UN report over occupied Kashmir

LAHORE – The banned Jamaat-ud-dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed has said thatthe issuance of report by UN on the human rights violation in held Kashmiris a welcome step.

On Thursday, UN human rights chief called for a major investigation intoabuses in Indian Occupied Kashmir, as his office released its first-everreport on alleged violations committed in the disputed territory.

Saeed said the international forum should play role to end the tyranny andterrorism in Kashmir. He also termed the killing of senior journalist andeditor of Rising Kashmir is the worst kind of terrorism. The journalist wastargeted as soon as he raised voice against Indian government on the UNreport.

Saeed observed that the Indian army is using malicious designs to malignthe independent movement. The Kashmiri nation, he added, will not become atarget of the Indian conspiracies.

Delivering the Friday sermon and later speaking to the delegations he saidthat the actual violations are far more than what is mentioned in the UNreport. Kashmiris are being martyred daily and their properties are beingdevastated as a conspiracy.

The United Nations, he added, after the release of the report based on thefacts, should exert pressure on the Indian government to pull out 0.8million army men who are usurpers in Kashmir. The UN also should pressuriseIndia to give the Kashmiris their right of self-determination.
