Pakistan Rangers – Indian BSF hold flag meeting at international borders

JAMMU – India’s Border Security Force (BSF) and the Pakistan Rangers helda flag meeting to maintain peace and tranquility on the internationalborder in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, an official statement said onThursday.

The meeting was held on Wednesday evening at the Octroi border outpost.

Deputy Inspector General BSF Frontier, PS Dhiman led the eight-memberIndian team while the six-member Pakistan Rangers was represented byBrigadier Muhammad Amjad Hussain.

“Recent incidents of ceasefire violations on the international border werediscussed. The two sides agreed to maintain peace and tranquility on andmaintain periodic contact to defuse tensions on the border,” BSF sourcessaid.
