ISLAMABAD – Pakistan military has decided to participate in the publiccause of tackling water crisis by contributing to Diamer-Bhasha and MohmandDam Fund.
According to a Tweet by Maj. Gen Asif Gafoor, the spokesperson of armedforces officers of Pak Army, Navy and Air Force will contribute their 2days’ pay to the fund.
Moreover, soldiers will also donate one day’s pay to the announced fund forthis national cause.
The fund launched by the Ministry of Finance last week got its firstdonation worth Rs 1 million from the chief justice, who bagged support fromfellow Pakistanis to cater the ensuing water crisis.
The bank account bearing account No.03-593-299999-001-4 and IBN No.PK06SBPP0035932999990014 was opened after the CJP was briefed about theworsening water crisis in the country which could only be capped by theconstruction of new dams.
