LAHORE – A petition on Monday has been submitted in Supreme Court (SC) todeclare house of ex-prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawazand son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar as sub-jail.

The petition was filed by chairman of Watan Party Barrister Zafarullah Khanin which, he stated that references against former PM are pending ataccountability court.

Nawaz Sharif held office of PM for three times, therefore, his house canlegally be declared as sub-jail, he added.

Federation, Punjab Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and Inspector General ofthe jail have been named in the petition.

Earlier, Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif were expected to be shifted toSihala Rest Houselinkformer Punjab CM and PML-N president S*hehbaz Sharif wrote a letter tocaretaker Punjab government*linkbetter facilities for them at Adiala Jail.

Shehbaz had asked the authorities to ensure continuous provision ofmedicines and medical examination to Nawaz Sharif from his personal doctor.
