Pakistan China hold maritime security dialogues in Beijing

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and China have vowed to further strengthen and enhancebilateral cooperation in all mutually relevant areas, expressingsatisfaction over the current level of cooperation between the twocountries.

The bilateral ties were discussed in the third round of maritime dialoguebetween Pakistan and China held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs inBeijing.

Additional Secretary Imtiaz Ahmad led the Pakistani delegation whileDirector General Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wu Jianghaoled the Chinese side.

Both sides held comprehensive discussions on the entire gamut of maritimecooperation between Pakistan and China including the evaluation ofPakistan-China existing maritime cooperation, bilateral cooperation andexchanges between the two Navies, cooperation in fisheries sector, maritimesecurity, and science and technology cooperation.

The two sides also agreed to further deepen practical cooperation inrelevant areas for the benefit of the two countries.

Both the countries expressed their commitment to further improvecooperation in matters of regional and international significance. – APP
