ISLAMABAD – A joint taskforce, comprising FIA, NAB and FRB officials, willbe formed to retrieve Pakistani illegal properties from abroad and willhave the authority to approach state institutions and departments as wellas foreign governments for investigation.linklink

FIA has significant details about the properties held by Pakistanis inDubai and the committee aims to work on bringing back those assets.

The committee will also review details available with FBR about propertiesheld in the UK and will summon individuals owning the properties in theseregions.

The report stated that those who admit to owning the properties would beasked to produce money trail while an inquiry would be sought against thosewho refuse to admit the same.

Foreign assets can be frozen if money trail is not furnished, the reportfurther stated.
