BADIN – Khoski sugar mill of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman andformer president Asif Ali Zardari in Badin has been raided by the FIA.

The raid was conducted after revelations made by Zardari’s close aide AnwarMajeed during the FIA interrogation. During the raid, the rangerssurrounded the sugar mill and checked the different documents.

It was reported that the management was under control the close aide ofZardari Anwar Majeed. The employees of the mill including manager arerecording their statements.

Earkier on Saturday, a local court in Karachi extended the physical remandof Anwar Majeed and his son, Abdul Ghani Majeed. FIA presented Abdul GhaniMajeed before additional district and sessions judge, south.

Anwar and his son were arrested on August 15 in connection to a casepertaining to money laundering through fake bank accounts.
