PESHAWAR – Pakistan felicitated Afghanistan on its 99th Independence Day onSunday.

“Pakistan congratulates the people and government of Afghanistan on their99th Independence Day,” Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr MohammadFaisal wrote on Twitter.

“We extend our sincere wishes for peace, prosperity, stability, economicdevelopment and long term prosperity of the brotherly country,” he added.

Separately, on the directives of IG Frontier Corps and Eleven Coreauthorities, FC Wing Commander Lt-Col Umair Khan and Captain Harispresented gifts and sweets to Afghan security officials deputed at theTorkham border in Khyber district.
