ISLAMABD – Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu on Saturday said thatChief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa shared with him thatPakistan will open the border on Guru Nanak’s 550th anniversary.

Talking to the journalists after oath-taking ceremony, he said that theCOAS told him that he wants peace, saying that General Bajwa assured thatPakistani border will be opened for Sikh pilgrims on Guru Nanak’s 550thbirthday anniversary.

During the oath-taking ceremony at the President House, Navjot Sidhu huggedwith Gen Bajwa and he spoke a little conversation with the chief of armystaff.

The Indian cricketer remarked that that Pakistan’s new PM has the abilityto change country’s future. “Imran Khan has emerged as a ray of hope forall of us,” he said.

Sharing experience on his visit, Sindhu mentioned that he took back 100times more love than what he had brought. “The love I have gotten hasopened up infinite possibilities which can actually unify us.”

Novjat Singh Sidhu stressed that the purpose of his visit was not politicalrather spread the message of love. “I brought a message of love andfriendship. This message of friendship is for everyone, not justcricketers.”

He also admired the line of Imran Khan in his speech after winningelection, he elaborated the words of PM, “If India takes one step, Pakistanwill take two step of friendship.” Admiring the sentence of Imran, Sidhusaid that this little sentence gives the broad message of love for India.

The Indian cricketer-turned politician gained a significant attentionduring the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister of Pakistan.
