CPEC projects: Five important decisions taken

ISLAMABAD – The Cabinet Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor hasdecided to give priority to the following areas:

1.development of Gwadar,

2. special economic zones,

3.Pakistan Railways’ Main Line-1,

4. inclusion of social sector development

5. third country participation in CPEC.

The decision was taken during the committee meeting, which met in Islamabadon Friday with Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms, MakhdoomKhusro Bakhtiar in the chair.

The Committee instructed the conveners of all the Joint Working Groups ofCPEC to submit a detailed agenda till 30th of this month for approval.

Secretary Planning, Zafar Hasan gave an overview on the ongoing projectsand run down of the schedule of upcoming events.
