*KARACHI – Pakistan has sought the assistance of Chinese authorities in therevival of the Karachi Circular Railways and other mega projects.*
The chief minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah while speaking to to Chinese ConsulGeneral Mr Wang Yu, said that projects such as the Karachi CircularRailways, Dhabeji Economic Zone and Keti Bandar left at the conclusion oflast tenure as chief minister were being continued.
CM Sindh said that the KCR project was most important for Karachi. “It wasincluded in the CPEC and then delayed due to some reasons but now time hascome to take it up once again,” he said.
He added the project of Keti Bandar and Dhabeji Economic Zone were alsoamong his priorities.
He told the consul general that land has been allocated for the specialeconomic zone at Dhabeji and funds have been allocated for theinfrastructure development.
The consul general said that the Chinese authorities were keen to completeCPEC projects and would fulfill all commitments made with the previousgovernment in Pakistan.
